One-on-One Private Language Lessons
Personalized language instruction for children, teens, and adults.
Sometimes a little individual attention can make a meaningful difference in someone’s language-learning experience.
A student may need extra help with schoolwork, preparation for an upcoming exam, or a better understanding of grammar. Another learner may want more opportunities to practice speaking, improve pronunciation, or begin learning a new language.
At ILSCA, we understand that everyone learns differently. We connect students with experienced language instructors who provide individual instruction based on each learner’s age, level, interests, and goals.
Whether you’re looking for academic support or want to develop your language skills for personal or professional reasons, private lessons offer an opportunity to focus on what matters most to you.
How Private Lessons Can Help
Private instruction can be tailored to a variety of learning needs, including:
- Homework and school assignments: Help understanding classroom lessons, reviewing material, and working through challenging assignments.
- Test and exam preparation: Additional practice with vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Conversation practice: Opportunities to speak, ask questions, work on pronunciation, and become more comfortable using the language.
- Learning a new language: Individual instruction for beginners and learners who want to continue developing their skills.
- Academic language support: Additional practice for elementary, middle school, high school, and college students taking language classes.
- Travel, work, and personal interests: Practical language instruction focused on everyday communication and individual goals.
Flexible Lessons That Fit Your Schedule
We understand that families, students, and working adults have busy schedules.
Private lessons may be arranged in different formats, depending on instructor availability:
- Online: Learn from home or another convenient location.
- In person: At an agreed-upon location, such as a public library.
- At home: Home instruction may be possible depending on the instructor’s availability and travel area.
Lessons can be arranged on a regular basis or occasionally when additional support is needed. You don’t have to wait for a new group-class session to begin.
Experienced Language Instructors
Our instructors bring their language knowledge, teaching experience, and individual approaches to working with students.
We take the time to understand each learner’s needs and help connect them with an instructor whose language, experience, and teaching approach are a good fit.
Our goal is to create a supportive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing, and building their skills at their own pace.
Private Lesson Rates
Private lessons generally start at $60 per hour.
Rates may vary depending on the language, instructor, lesson format, and location.
The schedule, rate, and payment arrangements will be confirmed before lessons begin.
