ASL Conversation & Practice – Adults & Families, Sat
Class Information
Ages: Adults and families with children ages 6 and up
Language Level: For students who have completed a beginner ASL course or have some previous ASL experience.
Description:
This continuing American Sign Language (ASL) class welcomes adults and families who already have some ASL knowledge and are ready to develop their communication skills through regular practice.
Students will expand their everyday vocabulary, practice forming sentences, and participate in guided conversations and interactive activities. The emphasis is on using ASL to communicate with others, improving signing fluency, and becoming more comfortable expressing thoughts and ideas.
Adults may attend independently, while families have the opportunity to learn and practice together. The signs and expressions introduced in class can also be used at home, with friends, and in everyday interactions.
The class is taught by a Deaf instructor, offering students the opportunity to continue learning ASL while gaining a deeper understanding of Deaf language and culture.
No Classes: March 27.
Materials Fee: A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is payable directly to the instructor on the first day of class. This fee is separate from tuition and covers classroom materials and instructional resources.
