Beginner ASL – Family & Adult Class, Sat

Language Level: Beginner – no prior experience required

Description:

This welcoming beginner ASL class is for adults learning on their own or adults learning together with their children ages 6 and up.

Students will learn basic ASL signs, fingerspelling, everyday words and phrases, and simple sentences through interactive activities and conversation practice. The class gives students a supportive place to learn, participate, build confidence, and practice signing together.

For families, the class also provides an opportunity to continue practicing ASL at home and in everyday life.

ASL is taught by a Deaf instructor, giving students the opportunity to learn in an authentic and supportive ASL environment.

No classes Feb 13 and March 28.

A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is collected by the instructor on the first day of class to support materials and resources provided for the course.
