Beginner ASL for Kids – Ages 5–12, Sat

Language Level: Beginner – no prior experience required

Description:

This welcoming beginner ASL class gives children ages 5–12 a fun and supportive place to learn and practice together.

Children will learn basic ASL signs, fingerspelling, everyday words and phrases, and simple sentences through interactive activities, games, and conversation practice. The class encourages children to participate, build confidence, and become comfortable communicating in ASL with others.

Children will also have opportunities to practice their new skills at home and in everyday situations.

ASL is taught by a Deaf instructor, giving children the opportunity to learn in an authentic and supportive ASL environment.

No class Feb 13 & Mar 27

A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is collected by the instructor on the first day of class to support materials and resources provided for the course.
