Ages: Children 6–12
Language Level: Beginner — no prior Spanish experience required
Description:
This live online beginner Spanish class gives children a comfortable and supportive place to start learning Spanish. Children are introduced to useful everyday words and phrases while having opportunities to listen, repeat, answer questions, and begin using Spanish during the live class.
Throughout the session, children learn through seasonal themes, vocabulary, and activities. As the seasons change, they learn new Spanish words and phrases connected to the time of year, nature, holidays, and everyday experiences, while continuing to build on what they have already learned.
Through songs, games, movement, stories, and interactive activities adapted for online learning, children practice listening and speaking while interacting with their instructor and classmates. Activities may include greetings, numbers, colors, family, everyday expressions, and other age-appropriate vocabulary.
Children participate independently with the guidance and support of their instructor and are encouraged to participate at their own pace.
Online: Classes meet live online through Zoom. Children participate from home and interact with their instructor and classmates throughout the class.
