Language Level: Level 2 — For students who have completed Level 1 or have equivalent Spanish experience

Description:

This welcoming drop-off class is for children and teens who already have some Spanish and are ready to continue building their speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills. It is a good fit for students who have completed Level 1 or have learned Spanish at home, school, or another program.

The class changes with the seasons, introducing new Spanish vocabulary, expressions, topics, and activities connected to the time of year. Students explore themes such as nature, weather, holidays, celebrations, everyday life, and cultural experiences, while continuing to review and build on language they have already learned.

Through guided conversation, questions and answers, sentence-building activities, games, stories, and interactive activities, students have regular opportunities to listen and speak in Spanish. They practice expressing ideas, describing experiences, asking and answering questions, and using new vocabulary in context.

The focus is on conversation and practical communication, giving students a supportive place to keep using Spanish, expand what they know, and become more comfortable speaking with others.

No Class: Please note, this class will not meet on Feb 13 & Mar 27

A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is collected by the instructor on the first day of class to support materials and resources provided for the course.
