Class Information
Ages: Children 5–12
Language Level: Beginner – No prior Portuguese experience required.
Description:
This beginner Portuguese class introduces children to the language through seasonal themes, everyday vocabulary, and engaging activities in a welcoming, supportive online environment.
As the seasons change, children explore new Portuguese words and expressions related to nature, holidays, and everyday experiences. Through songs, games, stories, movement, and interactive activities adapted for online learning, students practice listening and speaking while learning to use Portuguese in familiar, age-appropriate situations.
Each season introduces new topics while building on vocabulary and expressions learned in previous lessons. Children have opportunities to interact with their instructor and classmates, practice simple conversations, and become more comfortable using Portuguese.
Activities encourage children to participate at their own pace while enjoying the experience of learning together.
Online Format: Classes meet live through Zoom, allowing children to interact with their instructor and classmates from home.
No Classes: March 27.
