Policies and Terms Of Use

Thank you for your interest in the International Language School for Children and Adults. Your patronage and referrals to family, friends, and colleagues have helped our school grow and thrive, and we are forever grateful. Please see below for details of various policies and the Terms of Use.

Operating Policy

Tuition Refunds

Payment must be made IN FULL before entering the first class. All class refunds must be requested in writing 72 hours before the 2nd class of the term and a prorated refund, minus a $25 handling fee will be provided. If a request is made after the 2nd class, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided under any circumstances. Workbook purchases and materials fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and cannot be transferred or postponed to a future term. No credit or refunds will be given in any form.

Classroom Homework

Students are encouraged to contact the office for homework assignments when absent.

Class Cancellations

Students at ILSCA are purchasing a specific language class meeting once a week, at an exact day and time. No make-up classes are offered if you are not available to attend. Because of the small class size and our commitment to faculty based on registration, we reserve the right to cancel a lesson or class at any time. Classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment is below 3 students. If we cancel a class during the term, we will schedule a make-up class or provide a substitute teacher.

Private Class Cancellations

Classes may be rescheduled or refunded upon notice at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson (otherwise the normal fee is still charged). We may make exceptions due to family tragedies, and other circumstances at our own discretion.

Safety and Waiver Release

The safety of you and those in your care is important to us. ILSCA has general liability insurance for its operations. However, please note that the company does not carry medical insurance for injuries sustained by users during the use of the service. Therefore, you should review your own health insurance policy or policies for coverage. You hereby waive, relinquish, fully release and discharge, and further agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the company, its owners, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, and any other partners or employees of any and all rights, claims, causes of action and liabilities of any sort that you, your spouse (if any) or minor (if any) may have now, or in the future, including but not limited to, any claims for personal injuries, medical expenses, property damage, or losses sustained by you, your spouse (if any) or minor (if any) arising out of connected with, or in any way associated with the Service. You understand that you must be in good health prior to participating in any or all activities. You understand that serious accidents may occasionally happen to participants during transportation to or from such activities and during activities incidental to such an activity. Knowing these risks, you expressly assume those risks and agree that under no circumstances will you, nor any of your heirs or successors present any claim or action against the International Language School for Children and Adults.

Permission to Secure Treatment

In the event of an emergency, you authorize and give permission to a certified emergency professional or health care professional to administer any type of medical treatment deemed necessary to you, or to your minor (if any) and/or in the event you cannot be contacted. You agree to be held responsible for payment of any, and all medical services required.
