Policies and Terms Of Use
Thank you for being interested in the International Language School for Children and Adults! We are grateful for your support and referrals, which have helped us grow and thrive. Please find below our policies and Terms of Use.
By registering for and enrolling in classes at ILSCA, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all the terms, conditions, and policies outlined below.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Thank you for choosing ILSCA. Please review our comprehensive policy regarding class cancellations, refunds, and absences. All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@ilsca.com and must include the student’s name, class title, day/time, and your contact information.
1. Group Classes (Weekly Programs)
- Tuition Payments: All group classes must be paid in full before the first class begins.
- Refund Requests: To receive a refund, you must submit a written request at least 72 hours before the second class meeting of the term.
- Prorated Refunds & Fees: Eligible refunds are prorated based on the classes remaining and are subject to a $25 handling fee.
- Late Requests: No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued under any circumstances if a request is made after the 72-hour window prior to the second class.
- Absences & Missed Classes: Refunds or credits are not available for missed or unused classes. If a student is absent, please notify the instructor. Students should contact the office to request any homework assignments missed. Makeup classes for individual student absences are not guaranteed and are generally not available.
2. Private Instruction (One-on-One Lessons)
- Rescheduling & Cancellations: Private sessions may be rescheduled or refunded provided you give at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Late Cancellations: Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
- Attendance Policy: Students who miss three consecutive private classes without communication may be automatically withdrawn from the program, and all remaining tuition will be forfeited.
- Exceptions: Exceptions to the 24-hour rule may be considered solely in cases of family emergencies or unforeseen tragic circumstances at the discretion of ILSCA management.
3. Non-Refundable Fees
The following items are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be postponed to a future term:
- The $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee (collected by the instructor on the first day of class).
- All workbook purchases and independent materials fees.
4. Course Cancellations by ILSCA
ILSCA commitment to small class sizes and faculty scheduling means registration numbers directly impact our programming.
- Low Enrollment: If a group class enrollment falls below 3 students, ILSCA reserves the right to cancel the class.
- Provider Cancellations: If ILSCA must cancel a scheduled lesson or class during the term, we will provide a substitute teacher or schedule a makeup class.
- Unresolvable Cancellations: If a class is permanently canceled by ILSCA and a makeup cannot be arranged, or if a program is discontinued entirely, a prorated refund will be issued for all remaining sessions.
Classroom Homework
Students should contact the office for homework assignments when they are absent.
