Ages: Children ages 3–5
Language Level: No prior Spanish experience required; children with some Spanish exposure are welcome
Description:
This welcoming drop-off Spanish class gives young children ages 3–5 a comfortable and engaging place to learn and use Spanish. It is a good fit for children who are new to Spanish as well as children who already hear or use some Spanish at home.
Throughout the session, children learn through seasonal themes, vocabulary, and activities. As the seasons change, the class introduces new Spanish words and simple phrases connected to nature, weather, holidays, celebrations, and familiar everyday experiences. Each season brings new vocabulary and activities while continuing to reinforce words and phrases children have already learned.
Through songs, stories, games, movement, repetition, conversation, and hands-on activities, children have opportunities to listen, understand, repeat, respond to simple questions, and use Spanish with others. Activities are appropriate for young learners and can support children at different starting points.
Children are encouraged to participate at their own pace, with plenty of repetition and opportunities to build on the Spanish they already know.

A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is collected by the instructor on the first day of class to support materials and resources provided for the course.
