Class Information
Ages: Children 6–12
Language Level: Beginner – No prior Spanish experience required.
Description:
This beginner Spanish class welcomes children ages 6–12 who are new to the language and provides a fun, supportive environment where they can begin learning and speaking Spanish.
Throughout the session, children explore seasonal themes, nature, holidays, everyday experiences, and topics that connect to their interests. These themes introduce useful Spanish vocabulary and expressions while helping students build on what they learn each week.
Through songs, games, stories, movement, guided conversations, and hands-on activities, children practice listening, speaking, and using Spanish in familiar situations. Lessons introduce greetings, numbers, colors, family, school, hobbies, and other age-appropriate vocabulary.
Conversation is an important part of each lesson. Children practice asking and answering simple questions, forming short sentences, and using familiar words and expressions to communicate with their instructor and classmates.
Our small-group setting encourages participation and provides opportunities for children to practice speaking, ask questions, and become more comfortable using Spanish at their own pace.
Class Participation: This is a drop-off class. Children participate independently, with guidance and encouragement from their instructor.
No Classes: March 25.
Materials Fee: A $15 Materials & Classroom Resource Fee is payable directly to the instructor on the first day of class. This fee is separate from tuition and covers classroom materials and instructional resources.
